Zambia also known as the Republic of Zambia is a country in South Central Africa. It is bordered by Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Angola. Its official language is English although around 73 local languages are used in the country. The capital and largest city is Lusaka.

The flag of Zambia was adopted in October 1964, with a slightly modified version introduced in 1996. The design consists of a green field with a black outlined orange eagle in flight above a block of three vertical stripes of red, black and orange at the right fly end.
