World Flag of Peace

World Peace Day Flag Proposal Pace

21st September is World Peace Day also known as International Peace Day, is a United Nations-sanctioned holiday held annually. Events are held worldwide encouraging humanity to commit to the absence of war and violence and ceasefires in war zones.

Although there is no official world flag of peace adopted by the United Nations, “The Peace Flag” initiative aims to unify all nations underneath one common symbol on World Peace Day. Several flags have been used including countries using an all-white version of their national flag to represent that we are all one; and a rainbow flag of purple, blue, azure, green, yellow, orange, and red, featuring the Italian word PACE, meaning “peace”.
