Côte d’Ivoire, officially known as the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, is a country located in West Africa. It shares land borders with Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ghana, as well as a sea border with the Gulf of Guinea. The official language is French. The capital and largest city is Yamoussoukro, Abidjan is the economic capital and the most populous city.

The flag of Cote d’Ivoire was adopted in December 1959. The design consists of a vertical tricolor of orange symbolizing the land, white representing peace and green for hope for the future.
