Ukraine (Україна / Ukraïna) is a country in Eastern Europe. It shares borders with Russia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. Its official language is Ukrainian. The capital and largest city is Kyiv.
The flag of Ukraine has been used since 1848 and was most recently officially adopted in 1992 after their independence from the Soviet Union. The design features two equal horizontal bands of blue and yellow. The yellow color stands for Ukraine’s golden wheat fields below a blue sky.
