Moldova (Republica Moldova), officially known as the Republic of Moldova, is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe. It shares borders with Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south. The official language is Romanian, and the capital and largest city is Chișinău. 

The Moldovan flag was adopted in November 1990. The design consists of a vertical tricolor of blue, yellow, and red. At the center is the country’s coat of arms which features an eagle holding a shield bearing one of Moldova’s traditional symbols, the Aurochs’ head. The reverse of the flag is a mirrored version.
