Canada is a country located in North America, consisting of ten provinces and three territories. It is the world’s second-largest country by total area. It shares a border with the United States to the south and northwest. The official languages of Canada are English and French. The capital city is Ottawa and the largest city is Toronto. 

The Canadian flag was adopted in February 1965. The design consists of a vertical triband of red, double width white and red. A large red eleven pointed maple leaf  is featured in the center of the white band.
