Tunisia, officially known as the Republic of Tunisia, is a country located in North Africa. It shares borders with Algeria and Libya. The official languages are Arabic and French. The capital and largest city is Tunis.

The flag of Tunisia was adopted in October 1827. The design consists of a red field with a central white disc containing a red crescent and five pointed star which are traditional symbols of Islam.
