Costa Rica, officially known as the Republic of Costa Rica, is a country located in Central America. It shares borders with Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the southeast, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and the Caribbean Sea to the east. The official language is Spanish. The capital city is San Jose.
The flag of Costa Rica was adopted in November 1906. The design consists of five horizontal bands of blue, white, and double width red, white and blue.
