The French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF) are a French overseas territory consisting of several island groups and a portion of Antarctica. They include the Kerguelen Islands, Crozet Islands, Amsterdam and Saint Paul Islands, as well as the Adélie Land claim in Antarctica. The territory is uninhabited except for scientific and military personnel. The official language is French.

The flag of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands was adopted in February 2007. It features a blue field with the French tricolor in the upper left corner. On the right, five white stars surround the letters “TAAF”, representing the territory’s initials.
