Guam is an unincorporated territory of the United States. Part of the Mariana Islands, it is located in the Micronesia region of the western Pacific Ocean. The official languages are English and Chamorro, and the capital city is Hagåtña.

The flag was adopted in 1948. It features a dark blue field with a red border, symbolizing the island’s connection to the United States. In the center is the red-bordered, almond-shaped Guam seal depicting a beach scene with a traditional Chamorro canoe and a coconut tree.

Anthem:  “The Star-Spangled Banner” “Stand Ye Guamanians” (Kantikun Guahan/Guam Hymn) (territorial anthem)
