Guyana officially known as the Co‑operative Republic of Guyana is a country in South America bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the north, Brazil to the south, Venezuela to the west, and Suriname to the east. Guyana meaning “Land of Many Waters”, Is an english speaking country’s economy is based on agriculture and its capital and largest city is Georgetown.
The flag of Guyana was adopted in May 1966. The design consists of a green field with a red isosceles triangle bordered in black superimposed over an elongated white bordered yellow triangle pointed towards the right-hand fly side.
