Flag of Bulgaria

Bulgaria is a country located in Southeast Europe. It is bordered by Romania to the north, Serbia and North Macedonia to the west, Greece and Turkey to the south, and the Black Sea to the east. The official language is Bulgarian. The capital city and largest city is Sofia. 

The flag of Bulgaria was adopted in November 1990. The design consists of three equal horizontal bands of white, green and red. The white stands for peace and freedom, the green the agricultural land which makes up a large part of the country’s economy and red is for courage in battle and the struggle for independence.

The national anthem of Bulgaria: “Mila Rodino” (Dear Motherland).
