Mexico, officially known as the United Mexican States, is a country located in the southern part of North America. It is bordered to the north by the United States, to the south and west by the Pacific Ocean, to the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea, and to the east by the Gulf of Mexico. The official language is Spanish. The capital city is Mexico City and the largest city is also Mexico City. 

The flag of Mexico was adopted in September 1968. The design consists of a vertical tricolor of green, white, and red. In the center of the white strip is the country’s coat of arms which features an eagle holding a rattlesnake in its mouth, perched on a prickly pear cactus.

The national anthem of Mexico: “Himno Nacional Mexicano” (Mexican National Anthem).
