The Republic of Lebanon (لُبْنَان, Lubnān, Liban) is a country in Western Asia. The second smallest country in continental Asia shares borders with Syria and Israel. Its official language is Arabic. The capital and largest city is Beirut.

The flag of Lebanon was adopted in December 1943. The design is a horizontal triband of red, white (double depth) and red. It features a green Lebanon cedar in the center of the white band.
