Kansas is a state located in the Midwestern region of the United States. It is bordered by Nebraska to the north, Missouri to the east, Oklahoma to the south, and Colorado to the west. The capital city is Topeka, while the largest city is Wichita.
The flag of Kansas features a dark blue field with the state seal centered in the middle. The seal includes a landscape scene with a rising sun, a river, a steamboat, and a settler’s cabin. Above the scene is the state motto, “Ad Astra Per Aspera,” which means “To the Stars Through Difficulties.” At the bottom of the flag is the state name in gold text.
