Saskatchewan is a province located in Western Canada. It borders Alberta to the west, Manitoba to the east, Nunavut to the northeast, and the U.S. states of Montana and North Dakota to the south.

The capital is Regina, home to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum and the Legislative Building. Saskatoon is the province’s largest city, located along the South Saskatchewan River with attractions like Wanuskewin Heritage Park and the Remai Modern art museum.

Saskatchewan has a population of around 1.25 million people majority of which live in the southern third of the province,. It has a strong farming tradition, producing wheat, canola, and other crops. It also plays a major role in potash and uranium mining.

The flag of Saskatchewan adopted in 1969, features a green top half representing the northern forests and gold bottom half symbolising grain fields. A red western red lily, the provincial flower, appears on the right, the provincial shield is in the upper hoist.
