The Cayman Islands is a British Overseas Territory located in the western Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica. It consists of three islands: Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman. The official language is English. The capital is George Town, located on Grand Cayman.
The flag adopted in 1959, is a blue ensign with the Union Jack in the top left corner, symbolizing its status as a British territory. On the right side is the territory’s coat of arms, featuring a shield with three green stars representing the islands, a gold lion symbolizing British ties, and a turtle and pineapple atop the shield, reflecting the islands’ maritime heritage.
