Quebec, the largest province in Canada by area, is located in eastern Canada, It borders Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, and the U.S. states of New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. It also has a long coastline along the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The capital is Québec City, famous for its historic old town, cobblestone streets, and the only fortified city walls in North America north of Mexico. The city hosts major events like the Winter Carnival and is home to landmarks such as Château Frontenac and the Plains of Abraham.

The province has a majority French-speaking population with strong cultural traditions. Montreal is the largest city in Quebec and the second-largest in Canada is an important center of art, culture, finance, education and technology.

The flag of Quebec, known as the Fleurdelisé, was adopted in 1948. It features a white cross on a blue field with four white fleurs-de-lis, symbolising French heritage and Catholic influence. It was the first provincial flag officially adopted in Canada.
