Palestine, also known as the State of Palestine is a state in Western Asia. Situated in the eastern Mediterranean region, it is made up of parts of Israel and the territories of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Its official language is Arabic. Its proclaimed capital is Jerusalem and its largest city is Gaza City.
The Palestinian flag was adopted in November 1988. The design consists of three horizontal bands of the Pan-Arab colors of black, white, and green with a red isosceles triangle on the hoist side.
