Manitoba is a central province in Canada, bordered by Ontario to the east, Saskatchewan to the west, Nunavut and the Hudson Bay to the north, and the U.S. states of North Dakota and Minnesota to the south.

The capital and largest city is Winnipeg, located at the confluence of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers is home to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the Forks market. The city also hosts the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and a variety of annual festivals.

Manitoba has a population of around 1.5 million people, with strong Indigenous communities and a mix of immigrant populations. Major natural attractions include Riding Mountain National Park and Churchill, famous for polar bear and beluga whale sightings.

The flag of Manitoba, adopted in 1966, features a Red Ensign defaced with the provincial coat of arms, which includes a bison standing on a rock below the Cross of Saint George. The flag reflects the province’s British heritage and natural wildlife.
