The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK or Britain) is made up of four constituent countries and smaller islands within the British Isles. Below are the constituent countries of the United Kingdom.

The following are British Crown Dependencies, three self-governing island territories within the British Islands that are possessions of the British Crown. They include the Bailiwick of Guernsey (including: Guernsey, Alderney, Herm and Sark) and the Bailiwick of Jersey which together are known as the Channel Islands located in the English Channel. Also included is the Isle of Man, which is situated in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland.
British Overseas Territories are 14 territories under the sovereignty, but are not part of the UK itself. These territories are located across the globe, including regions in the Caribbean, Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans, as well as Antarctica. They are self-governing to varying degrees and maintain a constitutional link to the UK, which oversees international affairs.
