Ålands flagga; Ahvenanmaan lippu
Åland (Ahvenanmaa) is an autonomous territory of Finland. Located on a Finnish archipelago in the Baltic Sea. It comprises Fasta Åland and about 6,500 smaller islands or skerries. The official language is Swedish. The capital and largest city is Mariehamn.
The flag was adopted in 1954. The design consists of a blue field with a Yellow bordered Red Nordic cross, where the vertical part of the cross is shifted towards the hoist side.
