The flag of the Northern Territory, adopted in 1978, features a 1:2 ratio black and ochre vertical bicolour. The hoist side shows the Southern Cross, while the fly side bears a white Seven Petal Sturt’s desert rose with black core representing the territory’s Indigenous culture and natural heritage.
