Greenland is an autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark. The world’s largest island, it is located in North America between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans, The official language is Greenlandic, recognised languages Danish and English. The capital and largest city is Nuuk.
The flag was adopted in 1985. The design consists of a circular disc divided into red and white, off-set to the left of centre on a bicolor field of opposing colors to the disc.
