Lithuania, officially known as the Republic of Lithuania, is a country located in Baltic region of Europe. It shares borders with Latvia, Belarus, Poland and Russia. Its official language is Lithuanian and the capital and largest city is Vilnius.
The current flag of Lithuania was adopted in July 2004 and is based on a design originally in use from 1918-1940 before occupation by the Soviet Union. The design consists of a horizontal triband of yellow, green and red.
