
Tokelau is a dependent territory of New Zealand, located in the South Pacific Ocean, north of Samoa and east of Tuvalu. It consists of three atolls: Atafu, Nukunonu, and Fakaofo. The official languages are Tokelauan and English.
The flag adopted on September 7, 2009, features a dark blue field with a yellow Tokelau canoe and four white stars representing the Southern Cross constellation, which highlights Tokelau’s location in the Pacific Ocean.
