Anguilla is a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean, located east of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and north of Saint Martin. The official language is English, and the capital is The Valley.
The flag, adopted on May 30, 1990, features a blue ensign with the Union Jack in the top left corner, representing the connection to the UK. On the right side is Anguilla’s coat of arms: a white shield with three orange dolphins in a circular formation, symbolizing friendship, wisdom, and strength. The light blue represents the Caribbean Sea surrounding the island.
